Sammy, adopted and with Marty since he was a wee pup, turned 14 in December 2020…Currently he’s being well cared for in Canada while his papa is working on a film in New Zealand.

Don’t let the smooth taste fool ya…Sammy probably has more stamps in his passport than you…been to more restaurants and art galleries than you…maybe even loitered in a few more bookstores than you…He’s loyal and loving and graying right along with his papa (“gray anatomy?”–he’s not gonna tell us if the carpet matches the drapes).

They’re a terrific team of two who take on pirates, plunderers and plastic pollution……We female fans have roles as super sultry sirens who try to seduce the Sexy Sailor with our silly, soft, soothing, soulful or superficial love songs…We try to lure him to our secret spaces for sweaty, salacious, sticky situations, too savage for Sweet Sammy to see. LOL!

.Nearly missed the sad news of beloved Sammy’s passing (in July) because I was texting someone during Marty’s recent autograph signing on Instagram Live (where he mentioned it)…I’m sure it’s still painful for Marty and I understand…

Sammy bounded into Marty’s heart many many moons ago (since 2007…Sammy turned 15 last December)…Marty shared his furry friend with us over the years and we are so extremely grateful and eternally connected…
